How We Write Our Guides
MelioHealth publishes guides about medical imaging and laboratory tests in Sharjah and Dubai. This page explains how they are written and checked.
Purpose
Our guides explain what a scan or test is, how to prepare, what it typically costs in Sharjah and Dubai, and how booking works. They are general information, not medical advice. Decisions about which test you need belong to your referring doctor. Our guides do not rank or recommend individual centres.
Who writes them
Guides are published under the byline MelioHealth Team. They are drafted with AI writing tools: for each new guide, we set the topic, the approved price statements and the allowlisted sources, and an AI tool writes the draft. Since 27 September 2026, a new guide is published only when it passes every automated check below, and older guides are being brought in line. We do not currently have a clinical reviewer, so our guides carry no reviewer credit.
Automated checks before publication
- Compliance rules: banned-phrase lists for common superlatives and promises, accreditation and medical-review claims, and wording that presents MelioHealth as the clinic, plus neutral wording about which authority licenses a centre.
- Price check: every AED figure must match our price table for the scan it describes, and a scan with no entry in the table gets no price.
- Source check: two to five sources, all from a fixed allowlist.
- Structure checks: a minimum length, at least one link to another page on our site (every such link must work), and a medical-information notice at the end of each guide.
Sources
New guides may cite only sources on our allowlist, and each link was checked when it was added. The allowlist covers UAE health authorities (the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Dubai Health Authority and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi) and international medical and radiology bodies: RadiologyInfo.org (published by the RSNA and the American College of Radiology), the American College of Radiology, the NHS, NICE, the World Health Organization and the US National Cancer Institute.
Prices
Prices in new guides come from one price table. Until partner centres confirm those prices in writing, a new guide calls them the indicative price bands MelioHealth quotes and gives the date they were last updated (currently 13 September 2026). We will say that prices were confirmed with partner centres only when we hold a dated written confirmation from the centre. The final AED price is confirmed on WhatsApp before you book.

Cover images on new guides are AI-generated. They are not photographs of partner centres, their staff or patients.
